Day 25 - Getting settled in Antigua

Abuelita and Pamela joined us for the next leg of our trip. (Our trip has had so many legs that I think it is an octopus at this point...) We loaded up the van and drove out of the city to Antigua Guatemala, a city famous for its cobbled streets, ruins, and volcanoes:We had lunch and then walked around a bit.

Then we went to the supermarket (which was an adventure in itself trying to find a market) and then spent a chaotic half hour trying to find what we needed and wanted for the next couple of days. Word of advice: shop in the capital before leaving.

Sergio's cousin, Mary, lent us her house which is right outside of Antigua.

Here are Abuelita and Pamela reading Mary's rules for the use of the house. I hope we were able to keep it up to her standards! It was a comfortable, homey place.
