Day 23 - Back to Guate, A Baptism, and a Baby Shower
Around noon on Saturday, we hurriedly showered (using tshirts to dry off because we forgot to pack towels!!!) and rushed to Guate - coming to a screeching halt when we hit the city traffic. Ugh. I don't know how people stand it. The traffic is horrific...
But we managed to make it just on time to the church for Natalia's baptism (Neto's granddaughter). Look, we even managed to look snazzy despite the lack of towels, nasty traffic, and heat:
Here are Luchy (mom) and Natalia at the reception afterwards.
David with Luchy and Regis:
Neto and Chiquy looking pretty snazzy themselves:
We've had such a great experience here in Guatemala, really being able to participate in family and friends' events - birthdays, baptisms, etc. Coming for a month was really worth it because we've really gotten to know people, and be part of their lives.

Poor David didn't quite know what to do with himself amongst all the women (Sergio is used to it, since he grew up with almost all girl cousins...), but he didn't mind having a second dinner!
This is a picture of Abuelita with her sister in law, Gloria, and her niece in law, Silvia. We just keep meeting more and more family! All so so nice!
