Day 17 - A little rest, a little visit, and mass

On Sunday, we spent the morning at Carlos's resting. I did laundry, hoping that the sun would come out and it did. Sergio and David went with Carlos to the park. A rather mellow morning. In the afternoon, we went to visit some of Sergio's former students from the Colegio Maya. The whole family lives in a complex together. Each of the daughters and the mom have their own house, designed by either one daughter who is an architect or one of the sons-in-law who is also an architect. Lovely homes. And lots of dogs! So, these were folks who seemed very familiar to me. They are obviously Guatemalan, and Spanish should be their native language, but their kids speak to them in English. Very much like folks we went to school with...

Then we returned to Neto's house and went to mass with the Juarez family.
